1. medical checkup and insurance carrier
If you are traveling abroad you must have to do medical checkups with your concern doctors. Top reason to do medical checkup before travelling is You could need vaccinations – routine and otherwise , You’ll know what to do if you’ve been sick recently , You’ll be protected if you have a pre-existing medical condition.

2. bring copies of your passport
If your passport gets stolen or lost you want to be sure that you can still get back into the country, or be able to prove your citizenship. For extra backup, leave a copy of your passport at home or with someone you trust. Consider making an electronic copy you can store in your email account as well.
Carry your passport on you at all times and don’t keep all your cash in one place. In Paris, my friend saw an Indian tourist lose his wallet and passport to a pickpocket. Keep your passport in a safe place – ideally in a pouch inside a secure bag and leave behind some cash in your suitcase so that in case you’re robbed, you don’t lose everything.

3. get charger adapter
All countries have different size plugs and voltage. So if you want to use your phone make sure you can charge and make sure voltage of your electronics

Convert your currency into foreign currency eg. INR 70 IS EQUAL TO $1..make sure you do your math before tou travel .

7. Travel light, but not too light either.
I’m an extremely light traveller and this time I realised that I was short of clothes. Do carry the essentials but leave space for the knickknacks you pick up. Avoid heavy jackets if you are going in summer and don’t carry too many snacks – enjoy the local cuisine instead.

There's usually a charge for doing this, but it is much less than the roaming charges you’ll get if you don’t.
